Back in the land of the living

Yay, finally everything sorted with the new flat, and now I have an internet box in place, so no longer cut off from the world except for unreliable wifi hotspots. Expect some rants soon :-)

Now I'm part French!

After a bit of a long hiaitus, I'm back a little more regularly.

Having qualified for totally free health care (merci la belle France) I am having major dental work, and so now have some French teeth.

At the moment I'm speaking a little funny, awaiting the caps for the upper and lower front, but in about 10 days I shall have a brand new glittering smile.

Things just about shipshape

Might have lost a few gizmos here and there, but the blog is not looking too bad now. Added some links for interest, people I know, my likes, music, what I'm reading and watching currently. Check them out.

And back again :)

Another short lived return lol. Lost my internet connection and other problems. But I now have some access back, so it's just a question of picking up all new stuff.

I'm back...

Well, that was short lived lol. Still I'm back, just trying to get all of my old page back with this new fangled Google blogger... I've been spending a lot of time in the last year in Second Life. So bear with me while I put back in everything it's eaten.

Tax Rebate

Well my tax rebate finally came through. Well, actually it's called Prime d'Emploi, a scheme where if you're on low salary, you get a rebate, introduced a few years back when they had some tax cuts.

Bought myself an iPod nano (yay!) so I can listen to decent music at work, but am also listening to a lot of podcasts eg BBC News, Today programme, New Scientist and Scientific American reports, as well as Mac news. Also a podcast on learning French.

Also upgraded to iLife '06 over the weekend, and am very impresse with iWeb, and the intergration with the other iApps and .mac and have started redesigning my web site. It's much, much quicker than any other software I've used, and photo albums, videos, podcasts are just a drag and drop away.
